Questions about web site statistics

The web server our Library's web site resides on is capable of analyzing 
and reporting many different statistics about our site and its 
various files. The available monthly statistics include:
Total completed requests
Average completed requests per day
Total failed requests
Number of distinct files requested
Number of distinct hosts served
Number of requests per week
Daily reports
Domain reports
Host reports

My questions:
1. Are library webmasters, or library web site coordinators, tracking such
statistics? 
2. If so, are you only comparing these statistics over time, or 
are you comparing your site's statistics to those of similar libraries?
3. If anyone could post sites of such comparisons, that would be most 
appreciated.
