Good training guides?

In the not-too-distant future I might be conducting computer training sessions
for patrons having little or no computer experience.  I expect that the classes
will be attended by about 10-20 people, and will cover, over time, some computer
basics (very general concepts, windows) and then,some internet basics (WWW,
email).
The classes will take place in a small meeting room with no computer equipment
in it, except possibly for a PC that I'll jury-rig for demonstrations(hopefully
with an internet connection).  Can anyone recommend any training guides--for the
prospective trainees, and for me, a fledgling, non-tech, soon-to-be trainer?
