Name for Subject Sites

I find this a difficult problem as well. I have prepared a detailed
search document which I customize for clients and sell on a subscription
basis and have, for the moment, used the following categories:
Sites Providing Subject Bibliographies of Search Engines
used for sites like Search.com and Internet Sleuth
Single Search Engines
used for AltaVist, HotBot, et al.
Multiple Search Engines
could also be called meta search engines for
go2search (Metacrawler) and SavvySearch
Search Engines with Categories
used for Yahoo and Galaxy
Search Engines with Rated Sites
used for Magellan and Point
Subject Guides
used for things like Argus Clearinghouse and
Internet Encyclopedia
I've also included some specialized search tools and divided them
into categories like :
Directory Information
Canadian Information
Usenet and Listservs
Computer Software
Basically I know some of these categories are a little cumbersome
but I think they are descriptive. Although Roy Bennett's suggestion of
Subject Trees is much more concise than search engines with categories, I'm
not confident most people would understand what that means. I am certainly
interested in other suggestions.

My overall question is HOW to organize an "Internet Search" page
that will divide up various search tools into groups that would help
students wisely decide on a particular tool and WHAT to call those
groupings.
Here are some of the categories I'm thinking about:
Search Engines (like Alta Vista)
Meta Search Sites (those that search mulitiple engines)
* Subject Trees (like Yahoo, Angus)
Email (selected sites that search for addresses)
Listservs (sites that identify listservs)
* In particular, I am looking for a word or short phrase to describe
sites like Yahoo. Currently, we call this kind of site a "Subject
Tree" on our "Internet Search" page. However, I'm looking for
something that does not have the word "subject" in it so that our
patrons will not be confused with the subject lists (e.g., business,
education, etc.) that we have on a separate "Internet Resources"
page.
Any suggestions for a replacment to "Subject Trees"? Other
suggestions?
