     LIBRARIAN: Are you a self-starting, people-oriented and
technologically adept librarian/cybrarian? Are you very enthused about
using the latest library technology but *equally enjoy* assisting
library users face-to-face? Would you like to take on the challenge of
helping build a state-of-the-art and superb library service? If so,
then you might be the right candidate for this position if you have
the following required items: an M.L.S. or equivalent degree; 2-4
years library experience; experience in OCLC, Dialog and other online
services, including Internet searching, and excellent written and
verbal communications skills. (Some experience working with government
library patrons or a background in law or criminal justice is a plus,
but not required.) The position involves managing a
digital/traditional library for a major government agency. Tasks for
this exciting opportunity in Washington, D.C. include providing
reference and research, interlibrary loan, collection development,
simple cataloging, and online training services, distributing agency
publications, supervision of a library assistant, and designing and
maintaining library exhibits. Excellent salary and benefits. Send
resume and cover letter to Elisa Johnston, Aspen Systems, Mail Stop
8D, 2277 Research Blvd, Rockville, MD 20850, or fax 301-519-5445, or
     email ejohnston at aspensys.com. EOEM/S/D/E.
