If you're on a UNIX system, you might want to consider using "procmail"
to filter your mail. I currently have my procmail filter set to discard
any mail not addressed to me (notice that most junk mail is sent to
names such as "you at public.com", etc.) Doing so knocks out about 95% of
the junk. . .
