RFP for Connecticut Library Network

The State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services, 
Purchasing Division, is accepting sealed proposals on behalf of the 
Connecticut State Library in response to a Request For Proposal (RFP) 
that specifies requirements for a statewide bibliographic database and 
associated components and an information gateway as components of 
the planned Connecticut Library Network.  Proposals must be received 
by the DAS-Purchasing Division by 10:30 AM on March 11, 1997.  
There will be a Vendors Conference on February 18, 1997 at 10:00 
A.M. SHARP at Wallingford Public Library, 200 North Main Street, 
Wallingford, CT  06492.  It is not mandatory that vendors responding to 
the RFP attend the Vendors Conference.  Vendors seeking a copy of 
the RFP may obtain one (in person or via courier pick-up only) from the 
DAS-Purchasing Division (165 Capitol Avenue, Ground Floor, Room 
G-1, Hartford, CT  06106) on Monday to Friday, 10 AM to Noon and 1 
PM to 3:30 PM, excluding Holidays.  You should reference RFP 
#967-A-47-171.  The DAS-Purchasing Division may be contacted by 
phone at 860/566-3223 or 860/566-3244.  If the RFP is made 
available over the Web, a subsequent posting providing the URL will 
be made.  Until then, vendors should contact DAS-Purchasing to 
obtain a copy.
