                             ----------

The WebNet Annual Conference Is Unique:
--------------------------------------
First, WebNet takes a more general view of the topic than other WWW
conferences, dealing with a variety of Internet applications, tools,
issues, and research. Attendees are able to focus on the topics which
interest and concern them, not someone else's agenda or primarily vendor
presentations.

The WebNet conference complements existing other events such as the INET
and WWW conferences. The organization of the former is, by definition, more
concerned with providing global Internet services and the latter's
organization is specifically oriented towards one particular system WWW and
its technology.

Second, WebNet is not a trade show. After careful review, presentations
are selected by the Program Committee based upon the value of the content
for attendees. Participants learn what works and does not work from their
peers.

Third, WebNet is a participatory event. While there will be leaders in the
field as speakers, the conference enables participants to meet people and
not just listen to them. Attendees are as important to WebNet as the
formal speakers and, therefore, come to participate.

The WebNet conference series began in 1996 in San Francisco. WebNet 97 is
the second in this series of internationally respected events. WebNet 98 is
expected to be held in Hawaii.
