Search engine for NT Web server?

I am using the Microsoft Internet Information Server 1.0 on an NT 3.51 box
and am having a hard time finding a decent search engine for my website. 
I have installed the NT version of Excite but still get the "No such file
or directory" error message when I try to index a directory.  (I would
really like to use the Excite engine because I think it's one of the
better ones on the Web, but it just isn't working.)

Does anyone have other suggestions for (free) search engines I might try?
