Library Automated and Networked Services Manager (Information
Systems Analyst II), Arlington County (VA) Public Libraries.

ISO team player to be responsible for management of the Library
Automated and Networked Services Unit.  Specific duties include: 
planning, managing and integrating the infrastructure that supports
electronic library information service to the public across all
library systems and subsystems - CD ROM, LAN and integrated
information system with WWW access (1997 implementation); managing
vendor (turn key) information system, day to day information
systems operation of 10 sites including a HELP Desk; database and
system security, management of the Administrative LAN; coordinating
work of staff in Automation Unit; Homepage, Internet and WWW
technical support, planning, developing and designing future
functions and enhancements, staff training; participating in
interdepartmental and departmental teams supporting electronic
information delivery and the infrastructure.  Employee will be
required to travel to Library Branches to troubleshoot or assist
staff when need arises. 

Minimum requirements:  Graduation from an accredited college or
university with a Bachelor's degree in computer science,
information system management or a related field plus two years
experience in network and systems analysis as well as software
applications and at least one year in systems management and
planning.

Starting salary $40,924-$49,562 (grade C10) based on experience.
