netscape cache and netscape freeze

Did the page use any Java applets or plugins?  I would hazard to guess that
something in page downloaded with a bit of corruption.  Depending on where the
corruption was in the html, it could have caused the page to lock your system,
especially if Java were involved.

Hope this helps...maybe it'll provide idea fodder at the least...
