It's deliberately set up to translate only a relatively short amount
of text (probably to avoid overloading the server).

You *can* paste short passages of text in the form on
babelfish.altavista.digital.com, rather than URL's , so the workaround
would seem to be to paste a bit of text at a time, until you 
get the whole page translated!

Or, buy the standalone Systran product. . ..
