I find introducing LiveTopics in my workshops problematic for the
    reasons Nick and others have pointed out, but especially the old
    AND/OR bugbear.  New searchers look at the list of terms and think
    "OR." In reality the process is "AND."

 In my opinion, InfoSeek provides a far more useful method of
    narrowing a large retrieval set with its "Search this set" option.
    One can add new terms and have them searched only against the
    original set, not the entire database.  It's easy to miss this
    option, though, since it's stuck at the end of the results page.
