Electronic Reserves

I did a search through "Hotbot" for the exact phrase "electronic
reserves." 1,266 hits, which look relevant at the top end. Looks as if
lots of schools are trying it. Yale, for example, has an interesting
"Electronic Course Materials System (ECMS)on the World Wide Web: Pilot
Proposal" at http://www.med.yale.edu/library/ecms/proposal.htm that has
an appendix discussing Conference on Fair Use (CONFU) guidelines for
using electronic reserves. The CONFU material is from 14 months
earlier.

Adding "CONFU" as a required term in the Hotbot search narrowed the
field to 118 hits. These included the very rich website developed by
Jeff Rosedale, Head, Access and Tech Support, Lehman/Social Work
Library, Columbia University Libraries, at
http://www.columbia.edu/~rosedale/. It includes a link to the
ARL-ERESERVE listserv archives! Obviously only a new subject to a few
of us.
