Try using Siteman from 
http://www.morning.asn.au/
Version 2.00  checks the links on your hard disk inside the same directory.
Version 3.00 is supposed to check even in nested sub-directories, but so 
far, I didn't succeed a full check without having to stop the application 
with the Ctrl-Alt-Del combination.
