As champions of free speech we have an obligation to encourage critical
thinking of what comes across all media. People who view the library
that way cn and will. People who view the computer as equally menacing
will continue to be less informed. So the people who are harmed most by
this are not really librarians. The closest thing to the truth won't be
found On TV, the Internet, or even the library in whatever shape it may
develop into. Individual judgement and critical thinking determines
value. And it's good to be able to voice any opinion in an environment
where people speak freely and create their own informed perspective.

Sincerely,

Matthew S. Theobald, M.L.S.
