Danbury  (CT) Public Library  

Coordinator of Library Automation --  Join a top-notch team in a   
completely up-dated & rebuilt public library.  This newly revised   
position is responsible for the efficient and effective utilization of   
all automation, communication and on-line systems associated with the   
library's computers.  Danbury runs an Innovative Interfaces automated   
system, an NT LAN with CD/ROM databases & office PC's and provides public   
& staff Internet access.  NT server runs Website, the hub of the local   
community network.  Reporting to the Library Director, this position will   
provide daily support for computer systems (Microsoft software, Windows   
and NT server software), training & support for staff & design & planning   
for future computer needs.

Education &  experience: an MLS from an ALA accredited school and three   
(3) years experience with technology preferred OR a combination of work   
experience and college education of more than six (6) years in a field   
consistent with the responsibilities of the position.  Starting salary   
$21.87/hr (35 hrs/wk) per union contract.
