Odd Netscape 3.0 bug

I'm trying to figure out a bug with Netscape - it shows up in both the 32
bit under Win 95 and the 16 bit under Win 3.1, but seems to be only cause
trouble in Win 3.1. Worse, it doesn't always happen.

If I download (Save...) a file to the A: drive, then try to print a web
page Netscape attempts to access the A: drive. If there isn't a disk in
the A: drive then an error message pops up saying "System Error - Cannot
read from drive A:".

The problem occurs when a library patron uses Netscape to download a file
to the A: drive, then removes the diskette from the A: drive and then tries
to print. This is especially bothersome when a patron downloads to
diskette, then without closing Netscape the next patron tries to print a
web document.

The 32 bit Netscape 3.0 under Win 95 will also access the A: drive, but it
doesn't report an error if there isn't a disk in the drive.

I've tested it on three Win 3.1 machines, and one Win 95 machine - even
reinstalled Netscape. All exhibited the same behavior.

So, this is one of those annoying bugs that I can't make happen every time
and may have to live with? Has anyone else seen this problem, or know how
to make it happen?

Thanks,
Bill Moseley
