Silent computer

You need to install a PC speaker driver so that it will use the internal
speaker. Even though this works for some programs, some will require Sound
Blaster Compatibility. If you have a sound card then you can connect a
headset to the place where the speakers would connect. Usually when a sound
card is installed it disables the internal speaker. Break down and find
some cheep speakers or even better an under the monitor speaker set. They
provide the best setup with a place to put a headset and power switch to
turn off the speakers when you need to be quiet.

Good luck
