The position listed below is for the position of
Electronic Resources Librarian at the Illinois
Institute of Technology's Paul V. Galvin Library

The Galvin Library is working on a very specialized
Digital Library project tailored to a
scientific/technical institution, based on years of
accumulated research on the usage patterns of the
scientific and technical communities. It's really
quite a bold experiment and represents an exciting
opportunity for someone who wants to effect real change
in an up-and-coming library. By the way, this position
is being listed as a mid-level position.

In addition, IIT just received some major news in the
form of two matching gifts totalling $120 million, on
the way to raising $240 million for campus improvement,
scholarships, technology upgrades, etc. This is sure to
have positive effects for the library. See today's
Chicago Tribune (11/22) for more details on the gifts,
or check the press release on the IIT web site (
http://www.iit.edu/misc/news.html ).

By the way, I'll be cross posting this to Diglib and
Web4Lib. Feel free to forward this anywhere you see
fit. The listing should also appear in the Chicago
Tribune this weekend.
