Hi,

Jello to a tree seems to be a good analogy.  However, if you were able
to insure he location, size, date, etc.. of a file that you contorlled
on a local level, an Intranet catalog might be useful.  It could then be
archived effectively as it was updated and/or replaced.  The Internet
record is like a book that shelves itself wherever it likes.  Edits
itself, classifies itself, and changes content possibly on a
daily/hourly basis.

It makes little sense to wrestle vapor.
