Troy State University, Troy, Alabama has a Dean of University Libraries 
vacancy.  The Dean resports directly to the Provost.  The Dean has 
primary responsibility for the overall administration of the library 
resources, as well as planning and budgeting for a multiple-campus 
institution.  Qualifications include a minimum of five years successful 
experience in an administrative capacity; Master's degree in 
library/information science from an ALA accredited institution required; 
doctorate or advanced study desirable; experience with library systems 
and technology and networked environments; strong management skills; 
experience working within a team environment; excellent written and oral 
communication skills; strong budgetary and planning skills and 
experience; space planning and facilities management experience; 
extensive experience with multi-campus and distance education library
