Thank you to the many people who responded to my earlier message.  The 
LSU Libraries put these issues before a committee in order to bring all 
the concerned parties together, so I will not be writing a personal report.

I did attend a meeting at ALA New York of an ALCTS task force examining 
these issues.  The discussion was wide ranging,  and I look forward 
hopefully to reading their conclusions at ALA Midwinter.  Committee
