Fortres 101

Hi Wally,

We have used the PCLockout software for the passed year, and are
currently looking into an alternative. I haven't used FORTRES 101, but
was interested to hear what others have to say about it. As far as
PCLockout goes, it was ok for DOS environment applications, but not
perfect. We have both DOS and Windows For Workgroups on our public
workstations, and have found that PCLockout causes a lot of very
strange things in Windows. It seems to be unstable, and also
requires that you know in advance which files are opened and written
to by the various software you are using. It was also used in the
Computer LABS on campus, and our User Services people were not happy
with it there either. They are currently looking into a product called
FoolProof as an alternative.

Does anyone have experience with Foolproof?
