Story telling is the more u$eful of the two. Not many use C any more
but storytelling seems to be the heart of the new media. Major bucks for
folks who can combine the words _digital_ and _storytelling_, read:
computer game design. I couldn't help but comment on Martin's
juxtaposition as I am still working on a strange piece called,
Game Design as the Model for Information Science as an Art, strange
ruminations: version1.1
at http://www.indiana.edu/~slizzard/gameDesign/game_design2.html
This is nothing close to traditional MLS or MIS training being offered
at Michigan, Berkeley or even at Indiana but I think it is much closer to
the needs of the emerging new media world. The problem is that the idea
of _our_ people has to disappear to get anything silly done. I like the
idea of bleeding edge info artists called _librarians_ with bleeding edge
skills other folks are more than willing to pay for which they are if you
have the skills I suggest.
Thoughts? I'm only up to version 1.1, more than willing to change if the
wind blows out of the north suddenly 8-).
