Drawing the line on server space?

I have a general question for the list regarding what information is allowed
or served from your library's web space.
This question pertains particularly to libraries that are maintaining their
own servers, not using space provided by a central campus computing
resource. Libraries that are giving up a portion of their central disk
allocation for other purposes would also have dealt with this question, and
so I ask for their input as well.
What materials are you allowing to be served from your server (or
subdirectories)? That is to say, what criteria must files physically
residing on your server (or with in your subdirectories) meet?
* Are all pages strictly library related information?
* what falls under 'strictly library related'?
* Reserve material in electronic format (ascii, .pdf, html)
* What about faculty instructional modules that are in support of a specific
course? sort of an 'interactive' reserve...
Any ideas out there from others who have run up against this problem?
