             Information Services/Systems Support Librarian

This full-time, 12 month, appointment will participate with other staff in
the selection and management of library information resources and
instruction in the use of internal and external resources. 10-12 hours per
week reference assignment, including some night and weekend work. Will
participate in the maintenance and support of library computer systems.

Qualifications include accredited MLS or equivalent. Second graduate degree
in an academic discipline preferred. Enthusiasm for, and substantial
experience in teaching the use of print and electronic library resources.
Substantial experience using print and electronic information tools in an
academic library reference setting, preferably in a liberal arts college.
High level of computer literacy and competence required. Strong background
and experience in computer technology. Willingness to work in and the
flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Carleton College is a highly selective, co-educational, residential,
nonsectarian liberal arts college with 1,850 students and approximately 200
faculty. The College is situated 45 miles south of the twin cities of
Minneapolis and St. Paul.
