To those public libraries offering public Internet access:  
Please invite your patrons to visit the first literary festival on the 
World Wide Web - the fifth annual NOVELLO Festival of Reading, presented 
by The Public Library of
Charlotte & Mecklenburg County .

An all-star line-up of authors and illustrators - including Gail Sheehy, 
P.J. O'Rourke,
Walter Mosley, Richard Preston and Leonard Nimoy - will participate in 
the week long
festival at the Main Library, October 16-21.  

This year, for the first time, Virtual Novello will allow participation 
from around the world via the World Wide Web.  Visitors to Virtual 
Novello will be able to vote for their favorite books and authors, ask 
questions of the visiting authors and enter the Novello Literary Champion 
Competition.  Special activities are planned for kids.  Help us put our 
Charlotte readers in touch with readers in your area during Novello '95.
