I think if it's listed as $32k minimum then that is what it is ... a
starting point. People make decisions based on a lot more factors than
money. Living in Oregon is a very attractive place to live. You send in an
application, they like you and they fly you in, you show your stuff, they 
show theirs, they make an offer, you make a counter offer. Woody Allen 
said something like: 85% of life is just showing up. I'd add that the 
other 15% is negotiating.
