ELECTRONIC PUBLISHING: CHALLENGES FOR PROVIDERS AND USERS

Electronic Publishing is a viable alternative for organizations whose
mission is to deliver information, goods, or services efficiently and
and effectively. Publishing for electronic media is not the same as
publishing for print, however, as it is important to take into
consideration the perspectives and needs of the users and the
information providers in an electronic environment as well as the
advantages and limitations of the media.

Representatives from Aspen Systems Corporation will discuss these
issues and demonstrate electronic products developed for government
clients, including HousingLink(sm), a cooperative, centralized
information service for housing and community development resources.
Aspen Systems Corporation is an information management company with
more than 30 years experience in utilizing technologies to increase
the value and use of the information of government and commercial
clients. Aspen's mission is to provide the tools, knowledge,
personnel, and technologies such as electronic publishing to maximize
     the impact of information.

     Presenters:

Martha VanderKolk, Online Systems Administrator, Government
     Services Group
Gineane Bartlett, Manager of Information Services, HUD CLIPs

Our evening will begin at 6:00 PM with a light buffet dinner and
socializing. Our program will begin at 7:00 PM. Cost for the program
will be $20.00 for ASIS members and $25.00 for non-ASIS members.
