Java versus Microsoft

In case you haven't heard, Microsoft announced yesterday that they plan 
to license Java and to distribute it with their web browser.  The story 
(NPR) that I heard did not mention Blackbird at all...so I'm assuming 
that MS has decided to work with Sun instead of developing their product.
