This position will coordinate inputs from other selectors, front-line librarians, vendors, technical services, and web content on content, platform, and license terms for e-resources to develop an e-resource collection which meets assessed patron needs. In addition, this person will lead the transition to e-content for book, audio-visual, serial, standing order, and microfilm collections. And this person will oversee expenditure of a portion of Johnson County Library's $3.2 million Collections Budget.

The person selected for this job will be asked to adhere to principles of intellectual freedom and to abide by the Johnson County Library Collection Development Policy, the ALA Library Bill of Rights and the ALA Freedom to Read and Freedom to View documents.
