The RUSA MARS Hot Topics in Electronic Reference Discussion Group would
like to invite you to learn more about:

How are we measuring up? Using new technologies to schedule, standardize,
and assess reference services.

Please join us on Saturday, June 25th, 2011 from 10:30am – 12:00pm at the
Doubletree Hotel, Madewood A room during the 2011 ALA Annual conference in
New Orleans, LA to hear presentations from the following panelists:

   · Joyce Chapman, North Carolina State University Libraries -
      Introducing Suma:
An open source tool to aid staff in assessment of reference services
   · Andy Huse, Barbara Lewis, Lily Todorinova, and Matt Torrence -
Informed desk staffing through quantified reference statistics
   · Ken Simon, Loyola Marymount University – Keeping a Gimlet Eye on

Each speaker or group will provide theoretical and practical insight
regarding a variety of inventive, original, or efficient ways to study and
accommodate changes in user preferences, locations, and modes of

Hope to see you there!
