The George Washington University Libraries seeks applications from and
nominations of experienced, innovative librarians for the senior-level
administrative position of AssociateUniversityLibrarian for Research and
User Services.  The person who fills this position will have the
opportunity to shape dynamic, multifaceted user services and take a lead
role in developing policies that contribute to transformative
organizational change and participate in the design of a
state-of-the-art Learning Commons.
 
This position reports to the University Librarian and works closely
with three other Associate University Librarians as part of the senior
administrative team that provides vision and leadership for the GW
Libraries.  Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the
Libraries’ user services, leading staff in expanding excellent
multi-modal customer service, fostering partnerships with other
university departments in order to promote academic success through the
integration of information services, resources and technologies, and
planning for and developing innovative and dynamic services. The
successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years of post MLS
experience in increasingly responsible positions.
