[Web4lib] What print management system(s) are you using?

We use VendPrint. We chose it based on cost (it was least costly for us compared to the others -- they've
changed licensing models now, so I'm not sure how they stack up currently) and the ability to run it without
needing a server. Release station software requires VERY LOW resources. We had it running on Win98 after most PCs
had been migrated to XP and even on XP it can run on virtually ANY PC you can muster up.
It is capable of being used in "Patron account" mode - deducting balances - but we've been using it strictly with
cash.

Pharos Uniprint is a very capable system, which MANY places use. We had limitations on what we could do
because it was being implemented in and by the library -- not by IT. It's cost and resources were beyond what
we could manage on our own. The College is moving towards using student logins and eventually, I expect to
see a change in how we handle our pay printing.

CCBC. The incredible value of education.

FAMU is shopping for a reliable print management system for our library. Please indicate which system(s) you use at your respective libraries and the advantages/disadvantages of using it.

How many of you use Pharos?
