Hello everyone. This is a follow up to the thread with a link to the responses that we received regarding libguides and subscription databases.

http://www.library.gsu.edu/files/research/121/LibGuides-database-listserv-responses.pdf

We are currently reviewing the responses and are leaning toward creating permalinks to our resources so that libguide authors have the option to create lists or links to subscription resources manually (or utilize automatically generated lists in the future as those options evolve)

A permalink strategy (aka PURL or PURLS) will let us continue to evolve, merge, or replace our ERM/MetaLib/Xerxes/CMS applications used to maintain subscription resource links and metadata without libguide authors having to manage link maintenance.

We have our permalinks in place and are testing them before officially adopting this strategy.

Thank you.
