[Web4lib] Is there any way to include this in a newsletter orsimilar publication?

I think the immediate reaction when something like this happens to the
profession is 'Don't they know how valuable librarians are to the
educational process?'

The simple answer is yes. The marketing of technology as an educational
solution has outpaced the marketing of librarians and technology is more
valuable to them.

What are the reasons why something like this happens?

Is technology really more valuable than a well trained human mind?

What could the librarian have done to validate the profession?

What can members of the profession do to turn this around?
