[Web4lib] LibGig

I'm not sure whether this is a sign tht I'm overly cynical or keenly
observant, but isn't LibGig primarily a means for Library Associates
(http://www.libraryassociates.com/) to promote its library personnel
recruitment service?

I just realized I hadn't shared my opinion of LibGig.com, even though I
was the one who mentioned it in the first place. :-)

When I first looked over the site I noticed that there was a venture
capitalist (VC) involved. So I thought "OK, some VC is speculating to
make some dot-com money." Nothing particularly wrong with that...people
do it all the time. My next thought was "What convinced them they could
make money off of a librarian-specific employment site?" We're not
exactly rolling in money and there are other existing sites that do the
same thing.

We'll see what happens...
