2007 CISTA Award Recipient & Featured Speaker Dr.
Carol Tenopir will present “Witnessing Change:
Studying Scholarly Article Reading Over Time.”
Longitudinal studies of scholarly article readings
over thirty years capture changes in reading patterns
over time. These changes reflect developments in the
scholarly journal landscape and how library and
publishing choices influence reading patterns. By
studying the past and present of reading and the
influences that shape scholarly reading patterns, we
can also make predictions or decisions that will help
shape the future.
