[Web4lib] Spontaneous Synchronization

Greetings,
While I was watching this video by Cornell's brilliant Steven Strogatz on
spontaneous synchronization:

I thought about three things - Monty Python's *Ministry of Silly Walks,
* <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqhlQfXUk7w>group think behavior, and how
trends are collectively driven. Collective behavior drives and fuels
Wikipedia - popular searches drive Google and the other big engines - and a
collective sense of aesthetics determines good web design.  Or, maybe it is
simply a silly walk.
