We've been trialling it since mid year - we SMS overdues, recalls and holds
waiting - just ILMS, as yet we're not using it for anything else. It's an
opt-in service that staff and students can self-activate via their
respective portals. I'll be formally reviewing it next year.

Subject: [Web4lib] SMS (text messaging) in libraries or education?

Hello,

Does anyone use SMS (text messaging) to communicate with users? It seems
this would be a good way to reach today's students. Overdue notices,
books on hold, library class notices...
