Hello!

I might have the opportunity to attend the Internet at Schools
West/Internet Librarian 2008 Conference at Monterey, Ca -
http://www.infotoday.com/IL2008/

I have never attended this conference before, and want to make sure my
library is spending its limited conference resources wisely. I am a
long time IT guy, refashioned into an Electronic Resources librarian, so
I am looking for a conference that has specifics regarding moving my
library into the Web 2.0 area and "thinking out of the box" type ideas
of envisioning the libraries of the future.

Can anybody share their experiences with this conference? Would you
recommend it? Other conferences you have found useful for a web 2.0
type perspective?

I have to admit, most of the conferences I have attended in the library
field have been good. I use to work in the Casino industry, and most of
their conferences were just a good excuse to go to Vegas :-) I have a
deep love for my library, hence the need for reassurance that I will be
getting valuable and useful information for my library and not just a
nice to visit to Monterey, CA.
