Adding to the mix of good apps that have already been mentioned,
more web-based bibliographic/library database applications are
listed at:

I'm one of the refbase developers so I'm certainly biased.

With refbase, we aim to provide a web-based solution for small
institutional repositories/self-archiving. The current version can
generate RSS feeds from searches, embeds bibliographic metadata
within web pages (COinS), and advertises its various output formats
via unAPI making it compatible with modern bib clients such as
Zotero. An SRU/W web-service allows clients to access a refbase
database using a standard query syntax (CQL) and retrieve results in
MODS XML format. Future versions will allow to dynamically include
references within foreign web pages, and add support for OpenSearch
as well as further collaborative features.
