George Washington University announces a search for a Reference /
Technology Librarian

Join a dynamic, forward-looking ARL library for the opportunity to
design, deliver and promote innovative, interactive library services.

As a member of the Reference Group, the librarian*s duties will
include collaborating in the development of the Gelman Library
information commons, providing reference and research assistance, and in
promoting virtual reference services.  This position is responsible for
both the content and maintenance of Reference Web pages (including
research guides and virtual reference pages), as well as implementing
new technologies to enhance Reference and Instruction services.    S/he
collaborates with library groups including Electronic Resources,
Education and Instruction, Web Services and Information Technology. Some
evening/weekend hours are required. This position will serve on library
and university committees, which provides unique opportunities to
promote Gelman Library System (GLS) services across diverse
constituencies. The position reports to the Coordinator of Reference
Services.
