[Web4lib] RE: [lita-l] No library resources on list of top 100 learning tools

I think there is a basic misunderstanding of what a tool is.  A tool is
used to manipulate or change something.  A resource is manipulated or
shaped with a tool.  Information reosurces are not tools.

Steven Bell suggests at ACRLog (http://tinyurl.com/2rxvmk) that it may
be "a
case of our failing to create awareness about these resources to the
faculty
and researchers who should identify them as valuable e-learning
resources."







If a dozen self-designated e-learning specialists all bullet-voted for
one
library-related tool, such as SFX, maybe it might make the list.
