I believe the problem is the "background-color: inherit" properties you
have set on "#header h1" and "#header h2".  Compliant browsers set the
background on those headers to the greenish background, and paint that
background across the width of the DIV.

Try "background-color: transparent" on those h1 and h2 elements instead.
