Arizona State University Libraries is recruiting two software engineers
to joins its library informatics group in developing digital repository
repository services. The Library is creating repository infrastructure
through active collaborations with partners in the university research
community as well as with traditional library departments. The ASU
Digital Repository uses fedora (www.fedora.info
<http://www.fedora.info/> ) as its content management platform.

Libraries is located in (warm and sunny) Tempe, Arizona.

 

(1) Digital Library Software Engineer Senior.  This is a key position in
an innovative and rapidly developing digital library informatics program
whose mission is to provide advanced information and knowledge
management services in support of ASU teaching, research, and
publishing. As senior software engineer, the incumbent will play a
significant role in technology selection and development, information
systems architecture, and major project management. Under general
direction, develops software infrastructure for a diversified range of
information and knowledge management services.  Responsible for the
design, implementation, and maintenance of applications that enable
storage, discovery, and dissemination of information and digital content
held in ASU repositories as well as external systems.

SALARY RANGE:  $85,016 or DOE. 

 

(2) Digital Library Software Engineer.  The Arizona State University
Libraries seeks a creative team player to join the information and
knowledge management group of the Library Information Systems and
Technology Department. Reporting to the Head of the department,
contributes to the development of software infrastructure for a rapidly
expanding suite of information and knowledge management services. The
information and knowledge management group is responsible for the
design, implementation, and maintenance of applications that enable
storage, discovery, and dissemination of information digital assets held
in ASU repositories as well as external systems. 

SALARY RANGE:  $77,288 or DOE.
