The Digital Library Interest Group of the Texas Library Association (TLA)
proudly announces their preconference program:

Digitization: From Planning to Preservation (also titled "Digitization:
It's Not a Scan" in the printed conference program)

Day:  Tuesday, April 25

Time:  10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Cost:  TLA Members:  $60
            Non-TLA Members:  $75

Location: Houston, Texas

Get practical advice on managing digital projects from start to finish.
Understand the issues in planning projects and explore best practices for
scanning, metadata, and preservation. Discover strategies for obtaining
funding and implementing a project.  Preregistration required.

The presenters, all from the University of North Texas Libraries, include
Dreanna Belden, Coordinator of Grants and Development; Cathy Nelson
Hartman, Assistant Dean, Digital & Information Technologies; and Mark
Edward Phillips, Head of the Digital Projects Department.
