Kent State is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Monographs Cataloger to 
perform original and complex cataloging of print, microform and 
electronic monographs; to copy catalog print, microform and electronic 
monographs; to manage cataloging services for five of Kent's regional 
libraries by providing copy and original cataloging services and to 
evolve as a central point of service for Kent's regional library 
customers; to serve as a resource person for technical services staff 
answering complex cataloging questions, to serve as a bridge between 
Acquisitions and Cataloging; to work to develop the in-sourcing of 
cataloging operations to realize cost savings; to address and resolve 
access issues and cataloging practices for monographs and microforms; to 
work closely with public services librarians and systems staff to 
facilitate and coordinate monographic cataloging services; to provide 
rush cataloging services, including call number assignment, to speed the 
addition of materials to our collections; and to evaluate cataloging for 
batch-loaded electronic book resources.
 
Salary Base: $48,889
