[Web4lib] collection development

I too, am looking for a collection development policy/guidelines for our engineering dept. If anyone has a policy catered to civil engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, and mechanical engineering, please share with me.

Can you give me any suggestion?



I need to develop the foreign language collection of my library, and my budget is very short (1,400.00). My university teaches only Spanish and French. Do you have any suggestion about books, journals and databases that provide text in French and Spanish?  Ah! If you know of a good Spanish dictionary, please let me know.
