Electronic Services Librarian

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks an Electronic Services
Librarian to manage the Hunt Library web presence.
Responsibilities include coordinating the planning, designing,
development, and maintenance of the Hunt Library website in
support of the Daytona Beach and Extended Campus programs to
ensure continuous access to online services. This position reports
to the Associate Director for Electronic Library Services. Duties
also include providing technical assistance and expertise to Hunt
Library staff members, serving as a liaison to a University
department, providing reference desk service four hours per week,
assisting with the maintenance of the Hunt Library public
computers and the provision of E-Reserve service, and contributing
to other special projects as required.

Required Qualifications:
- ALA-accredited master’s degree.
- Experience with the following: web architecture principles,
database design, usability testing, web authoring and graphic
design applications, and scripting languages.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to develop effective complex websites.
- Aptitude to learn new technologies quickly.
- Collegial interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Flexibility in working with diverse student/staff groups.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to teamwork.
- Light lifting may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Macromedia MX.
- Knowledge of hardware and software used in text and image
digitization.
- Understanding of copyright issues.
